Smart energy data: Analytics on the rise

Geopolitical events have brought about a renewed focus on energy consumption as well as smart energy. Whilst the UK government is addressing the immediate energy crisis by supporting households with the Energy Support Scheme and the Energy Price Guarantee, smart energy initiatives which are central to a long-term resolution go back a decade. Smart energy helps improve the efficiency of our power supply; this is more important than ever. It also enables connecting alternative power sources such as solar and wind power to the grid which will be essential for achieving a “green” energy independence. Sophisticated virtual power plant software enables households to sell power back to the grid and benefit from the government’s smart export guarantee.
