Online Safety Bill progresses in House of Lords

The Online Safety Bill’s passage through the House of Lords continues with the Report stage which started on 6 July.

One of the most controversial aspects is an amendment to the Bill that would require Big Tech companies to scan for child sex abuse material in end-to-end encrypted messages.
