Singapore leads harmonisation and interoperability in Southeast Asia

During the PL&B 39th International Conference in Cambridge, Adeline Tung (Director, Policy & Technology, Personal Data Protection Commission, Singapore) explored the evolving significance of Singapore in the global data protection landscape and the leadership role it has taken in shaping interoperability across Southeast Asia.
The session provided an overview of practical insights into how Singapore focuses on developing common principles, contractual tools, certification mechanisms and technological solutions to allow different regulatory systems to work alongside each other to encourage harmonisation and interoperability.
