EU Commission seeks feedback on DSA guidance
The EU Digital Services Act (DSA) guidance in now under consultation until 10 June. The draft guidelines on the protection of minors online include compliance aspects such as:
- Implementing age assurance measures
- Setting children’s accounts as private by default
- Adjusting recommender systems and prioritise explicit signals by users on whether they like or do not like the content they see
- Enabling children to block and mute any user and ensure they cannot be added to groups without their explicit agreement.
The EU Commission expects to issue the final guidelines this summer. It is also currently working on an age-verification app.
