By Car

Bringing your own car is not recommended, as streets in Cambridge are narrow and traffic jams are common. However, if you wish to do so, there is limited college car parking and you will need to display a permit in the window of your car which will be emailed to you in advance of the conference.

Only a pre-booked car parking place allows you to park free of charge in the St John’s Playing Fields Car Park, opposite the college in Queen’s Road (1 on the college map). Any cars whose registration numbers have not been given in advance will be clamped or towed away. Cars are parked at their own risk. This is an insecure car park with no CCTV.

SATNAV – the postcode for Queens Road is CB3 9AQ. There is no postcode for the playing fields car park, please see the map for the exact location. Further details on how to find the Playing Fields Car Park.

Please note that the main conference centre, the Fisher Building (2 on the college map), is about a 5 minute walk from the car park.

Alternative parking, although expensive, is in the 24/7 car park near the college in Park Street. See Cambridge City Council website for further details.
