Google and the right to be forgotten

The Court of Justice's decision on Tuesday, providing a broad right to be forgotten and expansive approach to jurisdiction, has made headlines around the world.

Privacy Laws & Business and Linklaters privacy team are hosting a briefing session on the judgement which has implications for all businesses who gather large quantities of customer information and those that rely on search engines and social media to gather information. It also has serious implications for businesses that are based outside of Europe but deal with European consumers.
