UK government favours nonstatutory approach to AI

A recurrent theme in the UK’s AI landscape is the role of AI assurance, and its alleged potential to elevate the UK into a global leading position. Since its integration into societal and institutional practices, AI has triggered a shift across a wide range of sectors, transforming long-standing service models and subtly redirecting the decision-making processes that underpin daily activity. The use of AI is becoming the norm, and much of this shift can be attributed to its ability in streamlining tasks, accelerating efficiency, making automated decision-making, and delivering increasingly personalised experiences.
