Council of Europe prepares AI Convention
The draft AI Convention by the Council of Europe will, if adopted, be the world’s first legally binding international AI convention.
The Convention would apply to all of the Council of Europe Member States that choose to sign it, for example EU members states and the UK. But the scope has not yet been agreed on. Commentators have said that the UK, for example, would not sign the treaty if it applies also to the private sector.
