- How AI helps you improve your performance in your role – how to identify areas to work on, and how you might usefully build skills
With data an increasingly valuable asset, you will not want to miss this conference whether your organisation is based in Ireland, or is one of hundreds of companies based outside the EU which have their European HQs in Ireland.
Clarification and Simplification
Everyone agrees, in principle, with the goals of Clarification and Simplification to reduce administrative burdens. However, will the EU’s ambitious initiative to put together its digital legislation into the Digital Omnibus Package survive in its current form? The package including the Data Act, the AI Act, the Cyber Resilience Act, and many more provisions, is an integral part of the EU’s current 5 year political programme.
The proposed amendments relating to personal data protection in the EU Digital Omnibus Package aim at upholding the principle of proportionality enshrined in the EU's Charter of Fundamental Rights, while also fostering innovation and economic growth in the Single Market.
But the future path is not clear because in the next few months there will be more lobbying by both companies and privacy advocates as the Omnibus goes through its legislative stages in the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers.
- What will be the shape of a possible compromise?
- How should your organisation prepare for the more likely outcomes?
Ireland at the centre of the EU data debate
With Ireland taking over the EU Presidency in July, Ireland will be at the centre of this political and economic policy debate. Our sessions with the Commissioners will indicate for you, at both EU and national levels, how differences are likely to be resolved.
