France’s Data Protection Authority, the CNIL, has started a consultation on some of the GDPR (EU Data Protection Regulation) issues in order to help the EU Article 29 Data Protection Working Party (DPWP) in its work. The President of the CNIL, Isabelle Falque-Pierrotin, is also the Chair of the DPWP.

The consultation, which runs until 15 July 2016, seeks views on Data Protection Officers, data portability, Privacy Impact Assessments, and certification. The contributions will feed into the guidelines that the Article 29 group is preparing on these four subjects.

In addition, the CNIL is inviting stakeholders to make operational proposals, and suggest new topics for discussion.
