The report 'En route to international Privacy Audits' was commissioned by Canada's Federal Privacy Commissioner for the 29th International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners. The conference, which took place in September 2007 in Montreal, was entitled Terra Incognita - Privacy Horizons.

The report was based on work conducted by Stewart Dresner, Privacy Laws & Business Chief Executive and Valerie Taylor, Consultant. It covers the way that Data Protection Authorities conduct audits and inspections in several countries with particular focus on France, Spain and the United Kingdom.
