UK Roundtable with David Smith (Deputy Information Commissioner), Iain Bourne (Group Manager of Policy Delivery, Information Commissioner's Office) and John Bowman (Head of the EU and International Data Protection Policy team, Ministry of Justice).

Agenda to include the revision of the European Union Data Protection Directive and its implementation in the United Kingdom.

The programme for the day involves:

  • private discussion among the participants until coffee time at 10.45h.
  • detailed discussion until tea time at 16.00h. with David Smith on the impact of the revision of the EU Data Protection Directive, expected to be announced by European Commissioner, Viviane Reding on or around 25th January
  • private discussion among the participants until the close at 17.30h.
