EU Data Protection Reform: Close to the finishing line

On 5th November 2014, Stewart Dresner, Chief Executive, Privacy Laws & Business, was at a meeting in Brussels to learn about progress of the negotiations on the EU Data Protection draft Regulation. The event was organised by Germany’s federal Data Protection Commissioner and the European Data Protection Supervisor. As it was the day before the DAPIX Committee representing the Council of Ministers, it provided an ideal opportunity to meet the main actors in the process from many of the EU Member States. His report has now been added to the European Data Protection Supervisor’s website at https://secure.edps.europa.eu/EDPSWEB/edps/EDPS/Events
